Rev. Michael Mitchell is an ordained Assembly of God minister. He holds a B.A. in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio, a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary, and is currently in the Ph.D. program at Dallas Theological Seminary. His area of concentration is Systematic Theology, and he is active in apologetics and exegetical analysis.
In the last 25 years, he has been a professional musician, free-lance fiction writer, journalist, satirist, carpenter, contractor, literature teacher, and rhetoric instructor—before he finally gave in and accepted God’s call on his life as a minister of the gospel. He pastored First Assembly of God in Stockdale, Texas, for two years before moving to the metroplex to attend seminary, and served under Pastor Jerry Weiss as Associate Pastor of Church On The Hill prior to Pastor Weiss’ retirement. His wife Carrath is a senior English teacher at DeSoto High School and the senior sponsor, and they have three boys: Elijah Coltrane (16), Isaiah Ellington (15), and Zechariah Armstrong (9).
